Tax Credits for Renewable Energy – Do I qualify?

Well, if you installed  small wind turbines (residential), geothermal heat pumps and solar energy systems in your primary residence and/or second property you will qualify for a 30% tax credit. There is no cap on how much you can claim but it must be installed in your home  between Janury 1, 2009 and December 31, 2016.

  • To collect file IRS form 5695 with your taxes for the year in which the work is completed.
  • Tax credit includes installation costs.
